Hola loves –
I hope everyone has had a great weekend! Mine has been pretty low-key, yet productive as I’ve been prepping and planning content for the blog for the next couple of weeks especially for the last week of July when I’ll be on fam vacay. My goal is to obviously finalize my posts for this upcoming week, but also get my posts ready to go for the last week of July too becauseee family vacay! I’m so pumped about the family vacay – we’re getting away to the beach for a whole week!
Anyway, I want to share my summer skincare routine with y’all. Some of these products I’ve used for a while now, but some I have been trying out and wanted to give y’all the 4-1-1 on them.
Here is my typical go-to nightly skincare routine:
I love the One Love Organics brand. Their packaging is so pretty and all of their products are all natural and organic. My definite go-to for a quick cleansing and an easy eye make-up remover is the OLO Vitamin B Cleansing Oil. It does such a great job of taking off all of your make-up and feels great on your skin. In addition to the OLO Vitamin B Cleansing Oil, sometimes (usually right before & during my period) I will use the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Oil Cleanser to wash my face then use the OLO Vitamin B Cleansing Oil just to take my eye make-up off with. This TJ Tea Tree Oil Cleanser obvi contains tea tree oil which is great for clearing up your skin if you have any blemishes.
Pictured above is my ‘routine’ for when I get a few blemishes. Like I mentioned earlier, I use this TJ Tea Tree Oil Cleanser, then I use the Nature’s Sunshine Tea Tree Oil, and if it’s serious business I also add on this Mario Badescu Drying Lotion – this is my bye bye blemish trifecta. Butttt, sometimes these can dry out my skin and then that’s where this One Love Organics OH MEGA Calming Chia Oil comes into play. I don’t use it in combination with the two, but it can help calm your dry and/or red skin if the bye bye blemish trifecta gets to ya too much. It will soothe your red, dry skin. So if my skin is just feeling yuck after the blemishes have come and gone, I will put a drop or two of this product where the blemishes were to help calm that area of my face and y’all, it helps! Another product I grabbed a sample of from Sephora and found works similar to the OLO OH Mega Calming Oil is the Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Toner. Calendula oil can be used on mosquito bites and help soothe a number of different things, even irritated skin so I found this Kiehl’s toner to also be amazing.
So after cleansing my face, I use the One Love Organics Morning Glory Caffeinated Firming Serum particularly around my eyes and in between my eyes. Yes, even though it has ‘morning glory’ in the name of the product, I use it at night. This product helps to moisturize, brighten, & firm your skin. After using this serum, I’ve been applying the One Love Organics Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream and it is very moisturizing.
I use the Vitamin D Moisture Mist more during the day time, sort of as a setting spray and then if I am feeling dry throughout the day, I just spray a little on my face. It feels so good!
So real talk here for a minute – I had planned this whole post last week and I really do love all of these products and have been using them for quite some time now; however I did want to share something with y’all that I learned when I went to get my facial done on Friday. My esthetician said that the OLO Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream could be causing some of my break-outs. Even though it is great if your skin is dry, but if you apply it to areas that are a little more oily and/or break-out more often (for me this is my chin), then it can cause your pores to just hold that product in them and therefore make you break-out. SO with that being said, I am now trying out some of the Comfort Zone Active Pureness line for a couple of weeks, which for those of you who don’t know, these products are made by Davines, and they make amazing hair products! So give definitely give all of the products I’ve mentioned above a try as I definitely recommend them, but just know that I may have a couple of new favorites coming to you soon AND if you have oily skin I would just be warned about the OLO Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream. It may very well work for someone else and I will be a little jeals, but I do love the product, we are just doing a little trial to see if maybe that was causing my chin to break out a little more than usual. Hope that makes sense!
As always, if you have any questions about any of the above please feel free to contact me. You can shoot me an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or DM me on IG (@tayloringstyle), I always love to hear from y’all.

I hope this was helpful to y’all and that you get a chance to try out some of these products! If you’re local (or even if you’re not – they ship), Lizzie’s Herb Shop in Kernersville carries the One Love Organics line as well as the Nature’s Sunshine Tea Tree Oil. Let me know if y’all have any questions and/or let me know which products you try out and how you like them!
Enjoy your Sunday!
