So Fetch Weekend

sunday scaries??  we can fix that –

Did all of you iPhone users update your phones yet??  So many new fun emojis!  I hope all the taco and burrito lovers of the world are all guac-ed out and chilled now that these two, high demand emojis are available on their oh-so-important emoji keyboards.

Anywho, in order to make up for me missing this past Friday’s ‘So Fetch Friday’, I am now bringing you a So Fetch Weekend!  Enjoy! ♥

So here we go – over the last couple weeks, I’ve been researching and trying new skin care products.  Luckily during this time I stumbled upon a skincare line called Beauty Counter via Instagram.  Colleen Scott, who is a Beauty Counter consultant, began following me and so I reached out to her to find out more about the product and she was nice enough to ship me some samples to try.  I am so glad she did because now I have a new favorite skincare line!  She mailed me samples of The Essentials Collection {{Routine Cream Cleanser, Hydrating Cream, Polishing Cream, PM Hydrating Cream, & Eye Cream}} along with The Countertime Collection {{Soothing Face Wash, Radiance Firming Complex, Uplifting Day Cream, Vibrant Eye Perfector, Restorative Night Cream}} and The Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer.  The Eye Creams under both collections are amazing and a little goes a long way.  I am all about eye cream and if I feel dry around my eyes, I have more lines and then naturally feel and look older.  I want to keep my eyes and face moisturized because let’s face it – having that dry skin feeling is zero fun and you want to feel & look your best all the time!

It is hard to say which of these two collections is my favorite, but if you’re going to makeee me choose, I think I’d tell you that the Essentials Collection is my number one out of the two.  It is gentle, refreshing, and has that really great ‘clean’ smell.  Who doesn’t want their face to feel refreshed & smell good?  Not to mention, the price point is so on-point!

Another advantage of this fab product (as if you need to hear another one to convince you otherwise) is that the main ingredient in the Essentials Collection is organic coconut oil!  Girl bye, I love some coconut oil!  I use it to shave my legs, moisturize, put it in my smoothies and even use it to chase a spoonful of peanut butter when I need a quick fix for protein & a little boost of energy.  My mom and some of my friends also use coconut oil to spruce up their dogs’ meals by adding a spoonful on top of their food & the dogs are in heaven.  So much goodness from one jar, I mean what more can you ask for?!  Seriously, it works and if you haven’t tried it, order some ASAP {{I added it to the shop now collection below!}}

One of my other favorite skincare lines is Mario Badescu.  Not only are their products natural, but they work AND they are nicely priced.  The Rose Water Hydrating Mist is probably my favorite product on the planet.  I also really love the Drying Lotion, it really works and dries up any blemish.  The Hydrating Moisturizer with Biocare & Hyaluronic Acid is super moisturizing and will leave your skin feeling smooth & hydrated.  Honestly, I haven’t tried anything in the Mario Badescu collection that I am not a fan of.  The eye creams are also very soothing and feel nice.  Honestly, I have not tried the Herbal Hydrating Serum that you see below, but it is next on my list & I’m excited to give it a whirl!

So now let’s switch gears a little & talk hair.  I recently was introduced to Davines Invisible Serum & I totes dig this product.  You put it in your hair after it’s been dried/styled and let me tell you, you’ll never look back.  I have never really been a fan of putting serums, or any products for that matter, on my hair once it’s been dried and styled.  I felt like these types of products made my hair look greasy and it was just too much.  Not even kidding when I tell you that my perspective did a complete 180 after trying this serum.  It can be used right after you get ready and/or just like dry shampoo, it can also be used to freshen up before your sweetie scoops you up for a date!  Again, a little goes a long way so the pricing is still decent & worth your dollar.  Woop woop!!

Until next time cupcakes,

XO,
