So Fetch Friday // Style Collective Fearless Award

Y’all –

First of all, Happy Friday & Happy Wedding Weekend to my bestie, Meg Beasley!  She and her fiancé are the cutest & I could not be more excited to celebrate this special weekend with them!!

Second – I am so humbled & excited to share with y’all that I have been nominated by Annie Spano {founder & CEO of Style Collective} for the Fearless Award as a Regional Leader for Style Collective.  Myself and other Regional Leaders were all nominated and I have to say, I am seriously so honored and proud to be a part of such an encouraging community that is full of such amaze women.

The Fearless Award is an award for #BOSSBABES who empower other women to do what they love! Style Collective is a platform for female influencers to connect, grow, and learn how to be successful bloggers and entrepreneurs. The Fearless Award is a way to empower and connect with other bloggers/Instagrammers & in this day and age, we need to make the not only the physical world a better place for everyone, but the social media world a better place as well.  This means empowering each other, especially as women, and working together to be the best we can be and to improve the world one stylish woman at a time.  That may sound naive, but I truly believe it and I believe that the women of Style Collective would agree with me.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when you look your best you feel your best and therefore your performance in all departments of life are better.  It’s just that simple.  We all have a voice in this industry & in this world, so why not use it for the better?

To Annie Spano – I cannot thank you A- enough for creating Style Collective and B- for nominating me for the Fearless Award.  You are an inspiration & are da bomb.  What you’ve done for the blogging community just in the past year alone is insanely great.  Thanks for always inspiring us!

Today I want to share with y’all some fun facts about me AND introducing you to some other fab Style Collective Bloggers that inspire me!

Fearless Award Questions:

Who are you? My name is Erika Taylor and I am a dog mom, Social Media Manager, and Fashion & Lifestyle Blogger in North Carolina.  I have always loved fashion and style & I can confidently say that I have styled myself {and others} since a young age.  When I put outfits together for myself, I feel better and I can conquer my day with a more positive mindset.  I love it when I can help do the same for other women in all different walks of life.

What is your blog/Instagram all about?  On my blog and IG, you will find my daily & special occasion looks – this includes clothes, shoes, accessories, & even beauty favorites.  I also write about different sales/deals, ways to spice up your closet and find new ways to wear old things, while also giving updates on what’s going on in my personal life.  On the other hand, IG & Snap stories are both still a work-in-progress for me.  I love sharing my daily activities, but honestly I am still working on being more comfortable with this particular part of the social media world.

What do you LOVE about blogging/Instagramming?  Like I mentioned earlier, I love sharing style tips and OOTD/OOTN, but I also love learning from other bloggers and women in the industry.  I have been able to meet so many amazing women through my blog & Instagram that I probably wouldn’t have met otherwise.  These women have helped me grow as a blogger & as a person and I hope to be inspiring to other women as well.

What do you not love about blogging/Instagramming? Honestly I don’t really know what I don’t like about blogging/Instagramming.  It’s all I’ve wanted to do full-time for the last 2 years.  If you would’ve asked me this a year ago, I probably would’ve said that I was not being as consistent with my posts as I would’ve liked to be and I didn’t love that about myself.  It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it, but I didn’t like just giving half you know what posts, but I am blessed to say now, a year later, that I have been more consistent so I am super happy about that!  I think now, like I mentioned above, I don’t love that I am not yet comfortable with IG & Snap stories, but again, this is something that I am working on improving soo yea I’m a work-in-progress y’all.

What are your goals (big and small) with your blog/Instagram?  Bet you’ll never guess what one of my goals is – to become more comfortable with IG & Snap stories!  Ha!  On another note, I am really shooting to officially become a part of the RewardStyle family.  I am currently using ShopStyle Collective for links and it is definitely a great platform, but RewardStyle is just another star I’m continuing to shoot for.  In the last 2 years I have gained 1k IG followers, so I hope in the next year I gain another 1k.  I am also working on reaching out to brands more frequently.  This is one of the major perks of Style Collective so I would say making this more of a priority is def a goal for me as well.

If you could be better at one thing, what would it be? Ahh this is such a tough question.  I feel like there are a bunch of small things that I would like to become better at.  I think one major thing would be to put myself out there more.  Sometimes I think that others see us as fearless {like Annie with Style Collective, hehe}, but we don’t {or at least I don’t} 100% feel like this every single day.  It’s not that I don’t want to, but some days are harder than others.  I want to work on truly becoming more of my authentic self every day.  I know I am on my way and I know that I have come a long way in the last year, but it’s also something I can improve and be more intentional about on a daily basis.

Who are your biggest supporters?  How/why?  My family for sure.  Even my sweet Dad {who, bless him, doesn’t even like to shop at the grocery store} reads all of my blog posts and ‘shops’ my looks on my Style Collective widgets.  Both of my parents and my sister share my blog posts with their friends on Facebook and have my business cards with them to give out to people.  My friends are also supportive.  Some will randomly text me/call me and say that they enjoyed my last post so that makes me feel great!  Lastly, the Style Collective community.  Seriously the communication and support is unreal and amazing.

What do you wish there was more of in your life?  I love my life.  I am so blessed to be where I am today especially since the last 4-5 months have been crucial with changes in my career, relationships, and where I’ve lived.  I wish I had more financial freedom {it’s something I’m working on, but just being real y’all}.  I wish that I could plan more trips & forever collab with brands to bring y’all all different styles in all different types of places.

Lauren Schwaiger • • IG: @lauren_schwaiger // Lauren is so positive in her IG & blog posts and let’s be real, we all could use more of this every day!  I also love all of her healthy recipes + fitness tips.

Tessa Machen • IG: @tessamachen // Tessa has such a passion for what she does and this shows in her IG feed.  What’s the point of doing what we do if we don’t have passion for it?
