Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve! Can you believe it?! As I mentioned in my post this past Wednesday I am going to share with y’all my vision board for 2017 and the strategy that went into creating it! I got the idea from my Mom & made my first official vision board last year.
If you’re like me, when you were younger you had some sort of bulletin board in your room where you had pictures posted of Aaron Carter, Legally Blonde quotes, Nickeloden phones, & random pics of you and your friends posing/looking ‘cute’ on Schwin bicycles. A vision board is this same type of idea – only hopefully a little more more adult, aspirational, & realistic.
Here are the 5 simple steps I took to put together my 2017 vision board:
1 – Obvi need a bulletin/cork board
2 – Think about your goals for 2017. How can you visually display these goals & tools to achieve them? What visuals will help remind you of these goals & how to achieve them?
3 – Gather up all your magazines and favorite quotes from Pinterest & cut out images, words, anything that inspires & reminds you to stay on track for your goals (long & short term)
4 – Lay these out in a collage type style (or more neat, which ever you prefer) and begin pinning them to your board
5 – Hang it up in a place you will look at everyday & then get your inspire on!
I’ve hung my vision board in my closet so I see it everyday, at least twice a day. This year I want to be even more aware of what I am eating as well as make more of an effort to stay fit. I also want to be more intentional with all of my daily decisions as I have learned that being more intentional with everything in your life helps you achieve your goals & gets you closer to what you want quicker. I’ve also put my girl, Reese, on my vision board with WWRD beside her – “What would Reese do?”, quite a mantra, am I right? She has always been one of my role models and I mean how could she not be? She is a successful entrepreneur & a woman of true charisma and does it all by being herself. I also used a few of my favorite quotes & images from last year’s vision board while also leaving some space to add some stuff as the months go by.
So are y’all making a vision board this year?! What are some of your favorite inspirational quotes? What are your goals for 2017?! Share in the comments below!
AS ALWAYS, be sure to spread the love of missEtayla by sharing this post with your family & friends via social media!
