Happy Friday loves!
How has everyone’s week been? I was in Charlotte for the first part of the week doing a bunch of things & my week flew by. If you saw my IG story two days ago, you know that I am moving back to Charlotte! Y’all are probably like ‘wait, didn’t you just move away from Charlotte?’, and yes you are correct, but I am ready to move back!
As you know, over the summer I have been back to CLT numerous times and it seems every time it was harder to leave. Not only are my besties there, but there are so many more opportunities to partner with local bloggers, brands, and the list goes on. Don’t get me wrong, I have really enjoyed being in Kernersville with my parents and getting to know this cute little city. I’ve been so, so blessed to have the past few months to focus on myself (and Boomer, duh) and my blog. That’s what I’ve wanted the most, to be able to build my blog & brand and the fact that the cards fell how they did is still blowing my mind to this day. I want to continue to grow my blog/brand, but I am ready to be back in the QC to do so. Pending job opportunities etc., will mostly determine when exactly I move back, but if everything works out then I am looking to be back mid-late September. SO Charlotte friends – see you soon and can’t wait to do all the things!!
Moving on to today’s post – I want to share with y’all some pieces that you can leave in your closet as you change over from your summer to fall wardrobe.
Some might look at a tank top and say ‘okay summer is over & it’s fall. I don’t need to keep tank tops in my closet.’ I am suggesting you reconsider this thought. A tank top like the one I’m wearing here can be worn with a skirt like this (ps – I got mine last year from Nordstrom, but I’ve linked some similar ones below) and topped with a light cardigan or some type of jacket (aka a good suede or leather jacket.
Okay so now how do you know which tanks to leave? You may have anywhere from 5-30 tanks in your closet and half of them may be neutrals and half may be bright colored. The number of tanks doesn’t matter, what matters are the colors that you keep in your closet for fall vs. the tanks you should store away and save for next summer. Keep neutral and/or fall-like colors in your fall wardrobe: i.e., black, gray, army green, burgundy, maroon, camel colors. If you’d like some guidance, I’m here. Seriously, you can Snap me (tayloringstyle), shoot me a DM on IG (@tayloringstyle), or email me at email@example.com. This is what I loveee to do so don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
It’s like a recipe for fall: summer tank + corduroy skirt + light sweater + booties = perfect fall look. So, moral of the story is to think twice this year before you pack up all your tanks. Again, you can reach out to me if you have questions and/or want some guidance on what you should keep in your closet vs. what you should pack away for next summer.
