Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful Mommas!
In honor of Mother’s Day, today I’d like to share with y’all some good life lessons that I’ve learned from my Mom in my 27 years of life. Moms are such a special person in our lives & if you’re lucky enough to have yours in your life like I am, you are #blessed.
Lessons Learned from Momma:
1 – How to have an open mind – My Mom has taught me to open my eyes, heart, and mind. Whether it’s been lessons learned from family members, old boyfriends, friends, or strangers on the street, she has taught me to accept people for exactly who they are. Sometimes it can be frustrating knowing you can’t change some things or people, but when you just accept them for what or who they are, you can be much happier with yourself and your life. Although it is not always easy, but through her I’ve learned how to better understand others, accept them, and love them.
2 – How to be optimistic – If you meet my Mom, you’d automatically see that she is one of the most positive people on earth. She lights up a room when she walks into it & has a great attitude. No matter the curve balls that life may throw, she takes them and sees the best in them. I try to do the same.
3 – How to be patient – My Mom is probably one of the most patient people I know. This is something that does not come easy to a lot of us, but when we can be patient, I think it’s a beautiful thing. Don’t get me wrong, I make rash decisions every now & then, but when it comes to especially big decisions or circumstances, my Mom has taught me to be patient & it will work out. Whether it’s being patient with my job, relationships, or even shopping, patience is hard, but I’ve learned that in the end – it’s worth it.
In a nut shell, my Mom is fab and has taught me how to have an open mind, be positive, be patient, and all of these incorporate & require love. Of course she has taught me many more things, but I’d say that these 3 take the cake. If you have a Mom who has taught you any lessons like these above, I’m sure you’d agree with me saying that Moms are truly wonderful & the fact that they love us, raise us, & share their wisdom with us is really an amazing thing.
To all you Moms out there – Happy Mother’s Day! I hope your day is special & full of lots of love!!
