I don’t know about y’all, but for most of my adolescent to adult life, I have struggled with staying focused & on task most days. With this lack of focus can sometimes cause lack of motivation. Unless I am in a good daily routine that allows me to have a good productive day, I’ll struggle. You may or may not have tried these tips before – either way, I hope you find some motivation from this post. These are 3 simple steps you can implement into your routine to hopefully help make your days more productive!
1: Starts with your morning routine.
- Gratitude Journal
- Meditate and/or pray (which ever you prefer)
- Eat a good breakfast (with protein – this is something I have been working on improving – consuming more protein with every meal, but especially breakfast)
- Take your vitamins & supplements!
2: Think about your day. What do you have on your schedule? Do you feel like you have 20+ things to get done in the first 4 hours of your day? Keep a to-do list with and before you start your work, no matter what the job, take just 3-5 mins to look at your to-do list and think about the top 3 tasks that are the most important. Not what you dread the most (even though just knocking those out first does help), but which ones have the shortest deadline and need to be done? Then go from there. Check off each task as you complete it. Baby steps people, baby steps. Checking off these baby steps gives us little wins and therefore makes us feel like we’re productive and this habit will keep you encouraged & productive!
3: Keep your eye on the prize. While you are going through your morning routine and then planning out your day, try to remember the big picture and what goals you want to accomplish.
So I hope y’all find this post inspiring and useful! These are tips that I try on a daily basis to implement into my schedule, so you’ll have to let me know if you give them a try and how they go!
